Constable Marty visits Room 1

Today we were lucky enough to have Constable Marty in our classroom.
Constable Marty came and visited as part of our Inquiry on Safety and Survival.
We learnt about wearing our seatbelts, calling 111 and lots of other information about what police do.

Check out the photos of us singing and learning with Constable Marty.

Holy Spirit

We are learning about the Holy Spirit in Religious Education at present.
Today Miss Brock brought in a bowl of milk with three different coloured dyes. She poured some dishwashing liquid in and we watched the colours quickly mix together.
After the experiment we talked about how this experiment could also show us the way that the Holy Sprit, God and Jesus all come together in a similar way.

Arty Shapes

We are learning about Shapes this week for Maths. Our learning is based around learning all of the language about shapes, being able to sort them but also using them to create different pieces of Art.

Here are some pictures of our 'Masterpieces' from yesterday and you can also see us working on our projects today. Keep an eye out for pictures of our finished products tomorrow!

Key Competencies in Room1

Our Learning of the Key Competencies

Today we spent some time learning about the Key Competencies. We asked the Year 3 students from Room 2 to come and be our experts.
Miss Brock made up 5 different Y charts for us to brainstorm our ideas on to. We focussed on Thinking, Managing Self, Using Language Symbols and Text, Relating to Others, and Participating and Contributing.

Ask any of us how we know when we are using the Key Competencies and they will explain the "Peg System."
